WE PROUDLY PRESENT OUR FIRST FEMALE AMBASSADOR, MICHELLE JOY!
It was important for us at OGCJ to pick a female ambassador who embodies all that we stand for and this beautiful woman does just that and more. We recently had the great opportunity to interview Michelle Joy..
11 Questions for our 1st Female Brand Ambassador:
1. What do you think about OGCJ's new Think for Yourself Collection?
Michelle Joy: So comfortable. The design is sleek and simple but trendy and wearable.
2. Do you think it’s important to think for yourself? If so, why?
Michelle Joy: Of course it's important to think for yourself! Everyone is entitled to their opinions on different things , but at the end of the day if you're not comfortable with the final word, it's like having someone put words into your mouth. Your thoughts and opinions are what make you, YOU!!
3. What about OGCJ do you like?
Michelle Joy: I like that OGCJ is a brand that passes NO JUDGEMENT! Today, you can't step out of your house without being judged. Sometimes it's not even others judging you.. it's yourself!
4. What does being an OGCJ Ambassador mean to you?
Michelle Joy: Being a OGCJ Ambassador is exciting because I get to spread the word of an amazing message through a dope representation
5. What inspires you?
Michelle Joy: People who overcome personal goals inspire me. I love looking and watching someone do something they never thought they could do. The look on their face is priceless
6. What made you get into modeling?
Michelle Joy: I've always been involved in the modeling industry doing hair behind the scenes and after a few people approached me to maybe try being on the other side of the camera, I decided why not and here we are!
7. What’s the most difficult thing about being a plus size model?
Michelle Joy: One of the hardest things being a plus size model is being accepted in everyone's eyes. My definition of beauty is different then someone else's so it's hard to please everyone.
8. Do you ever feel judged? If so, what do you do about it?
Michelle Joy: When I was younger I always felt I was being judged. Being one of the tallest kids in class and chubby was not a great combination. Would you like standing next to the school teach EVERY year for class pictures?? As I got older I realized people will always have something to say about something so why bother letting it get to you especially when you won't see half of these people ever again.
9. If you could go back and tell your 10 year old self one thing, what would you say to her?
Michelle Joy: I would tell her to not take life so seriously. Enjoy the little things around you and don't rush to grow up
10. If you could leave a legacy in life, what would it be?
Michelle Joy: I would leave behind my legacy of laughter. Without it, your miserable and I love to laugh!
11. What’s one thing you cannot live without?
Michelle Joy: I can't live without a hair scrunchie! Sounds funny, but being a full time hairdresser for years, it's a MUST on my wrist.
